Choosing Bible Baby Names Ready Set Go

There are many things to consider when choosing bible baby names. Are the biblical baby name meanings important to you and your family? Do you combine that with someone you respect from an old testament story? Do you want uncommon baby names, or something a little more popular to today's culture? If you pick one of the Christian baby names that are a little weird today, will your shorten it to an acceptable nickname? One thing's for sure, when you are seeking out bible baby names, you need to do your research!

Naming your children can be a blast, and it's one of the first things expectant parents think of once they've found out they are pregnant! Fun, fun, fun! I personally enjoyed choosing our children's forenames based on the significance of the meaning. I have a wonderful friend who likes to choose based on their favorite bible heroes. Her latest little one is an Abigail (king David's wife; which means father of exaltation). The perfect scenario would be to find a great hero of the old testament or new testament with a strong definition, such as David who was the greatest king of Israel and the definition of his name is eloved.

There are a couple things about choosing forenames from the bible that can be tricky. For example: the person and their accomplishment versus their name definition. For instance, Mary, the Mother of God had such an impact (an understatement) on generations to come, but her definition is itter. Or Job, one of the greatest heroes of the faith, means afflicted. Another touchy subject is that the chosen name would not be popular in today's society. For example, you love the powerful definition of God gives strength, but would you really call your new bundle of joy Hezekiah? Well, it would definitely be one of the most unique, uncommon baby boy names in his class! If you're really passionate about a definition, maybe you could shorten the name into an acceptable nickname, just a thought!

On the other hand, maybe you don't want a bible hero. Maybe just the meaning is important to you (that was the case with us). You could choose a modern name like Ian which is Scottish and derived from John with a strong biblical definition of God is gracious.

I really enjoy going through the following naming game with my family:

Hi, I'm God is my oath, this is husband God is my judge, my daughter little woman who is like God and my son wise, God is my judge, nice to meet you! There are times that I tease my daughter should have been called little woman who is a great listener! :)

Whatever route you choose, have fun with the process. Browse these Christian meaning of names lists , buy a baby naming book, discuss it at the park or over dinner. But do it before you go into delivery! You don't want the stress of what to put on the birth certificate at the very end.

Oh, and here's a thought, if you find a name with a great definition, put it on the birth announcement ... your family and friends will enjoy it! Also, tell them WHY you chose to use bible baby names (for King David) , and keep your announcement ... it will be a wonderful keepsake for your scrapbook!

During Rental Showings Are You Archie Bunker?

The year 1971 was a very pivotal year for me in terms of growing up and viewing the world differently. I was 10 years old and was getting a look at life around me without rose-colored glasses. For starters, that was the first year I experienced death in my short life?well, at least a death I could remember. My first grandfather passed away when I was three or four years old, leaving me with very faint memories of him. In 1971, when my second grandfather passed away, I was old enough to be effected by his death, and even though I wasn?t extremely close to him, I had enough memories and understood how his passing would impact me.

It was also during this year that I was introduced to Archie Bunker. My newly widowed grandmother suddenly had a lot of extra time on her hands, and to occupy that time, she began watching more television. All in the Family was introduced in 1971 and it quickly became one of her favorite shows. Since she lived almost directly across the street from us, and because kids love to go to Grandma?s house, it only made sense that I was at her place quite a bit. So consequently, I was exposed to Archie Bunker and his views on life.

For those of you who don?t know Archie Bunker, let me describe him for you: Archie believed himself to be America?s most patriotic and vocal citizen. He had an opinion or explanation about anything and everything. Unfortunately, he couldn?t communicate those thoughts without yelling, arguing, labeling, discriminating, or showing his true ignorance and lack of education on whatever topic was at hand. Of course, to make matters worse, he never saw these faults in himself and didn?t want them acknowledged by anybody else.

All in the Family was a great show because it covered topics that had never been previously addressed on primetime TV. By touching on these issues, the cast helped to show all of America something we didn?t really want to admit: There may be a little of Archie Bunker in all of us.

This brings me to the point of the story and why I am beginning this chapter with it. Perhaps we all possess some of Archie Bunker?s negative character traits but just don?t want to ?fess up to it. Some traits are worse than others and some can land you in trouble if you?re not careful, which is why the main traits I want you to be aware of is prejudice and discrimination.

I believe prejudice and discrimination are born of a combination of things. They often begin in the home environment and/or the area and time in which we each live. They continue to thrive through ignorance and lack of education, resulting in an unfounded fear that often deadens one?s sensitivity to the human connection. As you should know, prejudice and discrimination are against the Fair Housing Act (I have much more information covering the Fair Housing Act on my website at http://www.findthatqualitytenant.com), and the reason I bring this up is because every being on earth has things they are prejudiced about or discriminate against. It may not be race, color, religion, or creed, but it could be height, weight, hair color, clothing, or a number of other things. If you?re like most people, you probably aren?t aware that you have prejudice in your psyche. But you do. We all do.

Of course once you have interviewed a tenant prospect, you need to meet them at the dwelling so they can view the rental and fill out the application if they are interested. Since this meeting is the first time that you will actually meet the applicant I want you to realize something of great importance which is this: sight is typically the first of the five senses used when making a prejudiced judgment.

Since you are meeting a prospect at your rental unit to see them for the first time, I want you to remember not to label or pass judgment on your tenant applicant when you first lay eyes on them. I guarantee that often what you expect to see and what you actually do see are not the same things.
Even though your prospect was polite, courteous, and passed all qualifications with flying colors on the phone doesn?t mean when he or she shows up at the rental this person won?t have green spiked hair or body piercings or numerous tattoos?or drive a beat up Chevy when you like BMWs. He or she might wear thick glasses or sloppy clothes, or be fighting a weight problem.

None of this matters. Keep in mind that this person initially passed your qualifications over the phone, so treat his or her as if he or she were a picture perfect, Ivy league college grad dressed for a modeling spot in GQ magazine.

Do not discriminate based on sight; discriminate based on qualifications.

If you discovered your tenant prospect was truly qualified over the phone, and when you get to the house, you don't let prejudice or discrimination cloud your judgment, you may well be on your way to finding a tenant to fit your needs.

Alarm systems feeling safe

In 1858, a man named Edwin Holmes, invented the first burglar alarm system. It was a simple device consisting of a spring that was released upon the opening of a window or door, which would then close an electrical circuit. Many more years later, alarm systems have taken a new face and have incredibly features in order to permit a complete protection of one's home.

Given the increasingly rate of crime, more and more people are willing to install performant alarm systems in order to protect their houses and feel secure. Today's alarm systems can not only alert the owner or the proper authorities of an intrusion, but they can also notify the police department, fire department and ambulance in case of an emergency.

When you decide to purchase one of the available alarm systems, be sure that you choose to buy from a creditable and reputable company. It is very important to find a company you can trust but you should get quotes from several alarm systems company before you decide. Try to compare benefits, features and costs of different alarm systems in order to be confident you've made the right choice.

It is not easy to browse through the multitude of alarm systems available on the market. There are so many options and you can easily find yourself wondering: do I need all that? Well, in a world where people are killed just for the pleasure of doing it, you need all the protection you can get. And you can be certain that alarm systems companies have understood that alarm systems should be designed and utilized to protect people first and property second.

The main protection you need for your home and also for yourself is from burglars. Burglar alarm systems come in different shapes and models, with a lot of features and benefits. There are mainly two types of burglar alarm systems: one that is very noisy and alert the nearby neighbors and one which is called a silent alarm because it alerts only the proper authorities.

One has to be aware that a burglar's three worst enemies are light, time and noise. Even if he is a professional, he won't be able to work if there is too much light, if he needs a lot of time to break in and if he can't work in peace. All these things burglars try to avoid are speculated by the companies who provide burglar alarm systems. They include in these burglar alarm systems exterior lights, mounted out of easy reach to reduce darkness, the proper enviroment for a burglar. You can also choose to mount strobe lights, which repeatedly flash on and off when alarm systems sensors detect an intruder.

Simple security devices are also installed by the professionals who provide burglar alarm systems in order to discourage intruders from entering. You will be amazed by what effect has ordinary equipment such as: nails, screws, padlocks, door and windows locks, grates, bars and bolt. Specialists also recommend to make robbing your house a noisy job. There are many types of burglar alarm systems available with output devices such sirens. These emit a loud piercing signal when triggered by the alarm systems control panel. Sometimes, they are enough to scare off potential burglars or trespassers.

Understanding the functions of the numerous components of burglar alarm systems can be quite confusing. The master control panel is the brain that controls all existent burglar alarm systems. All security alarm sensors are connected to it. This device interprets the signals received from the sensors and in turn alerts the security alarm output devices summoning aid or giving loud sound warnings. All burglar alarm systems have a performant control panel, mounted out of the way, well-hidden for security reasons.

Other functions of burglar alarm systems include: key pads, contacts, glass break detectors, motion detectors, sirens, smoke and heat detectors and much more. They all come together to create high-tech burglar alarm systems and ensure a complete protection. You can even choose wireless burglar alarm systems and then you won't have to bother because a burglar will never be able to disarm the system by snapping wires.

An English saying goes like this: a man's home is his castle. And this is definitely true. We want to feel comfort, easiness and relax in our own house. The only way to do that is to feel safe. Safety is the most important thing in the world. Why should one have to be afraid? Alarm systems are easy to install and always there for you.

Terrible Times in Vegas

Terrible's is, well, a terrible name for a casino, but a great little locals hangout where one still can buy a complete prime rib dinner, with salad, baked potato, veggies and beverage, for seven bucks and change.

Tucked away on East Flamingo, a mile or so from palatial Strip resorts such as Bally's, Caesars Palace and Bellagio, Terrible's formerly was known as the Continental, a decrepit, decaying hotel-casino patronized primarily by Las Vegans who turned out in the wee hours to drink in entertainment offerings by hit act Cookie Jarr and the Crumbs.

Eyesore was the word most frequently used to describe it.

The property was purchased several years ago by Jerry Herbst, a member of a dynastic Sin City family, and totally remodeled.

Its recently-built and always-filled parking garage, snaking buffet lines ($5.95 for a superb breakfast, compared to at least three times as much at other places) and spring and summer pool parties are testimonies to the refurbished resort's growing popularity.

Terrible's now serves as the hub or headquarters of Herbst's gambling enterprises, which consists mainly of a chain gas stations with video poker and slot machines, though one-armed bandits have been installed in other outlets such as grocery and convenience stores.

The joint was jammed for last week's opening four days of March Madness, especially when UNLV was playing.

Every seat in its small but well-equipped sports book, carved out of a ground floor north-side corner, was filled.

Late bookmaker Sonny Reizner, best known for turning the old Castaways into an internationally-known establishment, likely would call it another hole-in-the-wall book.

Detroit native Doug Beil, characterized as a wild and crazy Red Wings fan by one friend and former associate, oversees race and sports operations.

Tall, impecably dressed and youthful appearing, Beil cut his teeth in the betting biz at Bally's under veteran bookmaker John Avello, who now runs the bet shop at Wynn Las Vegas, and did a stint at the Hilton before obtaining his current position.

The doting father of two -- one a track star, the other a soccer player -- Beil's the type of guy who's instantly hard not to like.

He loves oddball European sports like soccer, auto racing and things like the Tour de France, said Hamilton Ward, who worked with Beil at the SuperBook.

He put up Mexican soccer odds long before Hilton did.

He does lots of contests and takes good care of his customers.

Beil was busy, as usual, on Tuesday, but took time out to discuss a wide range of subjects of the mainline variety.

Basketball

Sweet 16 action has been slow, but we'll get a lot on Thursday and Friday, he said.

So far, betting has been split between UNLV and Oregon, but by Friday I expect we'll get a lot of UNLV money.

Right now, they're (gamblers) playing Georgetown and Ohio State.

The Hoyas are favored by 7 1/2 over Vanderbilt and the Buckeyes are a 4 1/2-point pick over Tennessee, with both games slated Thursday.

Georgetown is the second seed in the East, while top-ranked Ohio State is the South's No. 1 seed.

Beil will be pulling for the Rebels, a 2 1/2-point underdog to the Ducks, along with most of the city's gambling community.

They can win, that's why Oregon is a small favorite, Beil said.

UNLV plays great defense, they're tenacious and deep.

If they get past Oregon, Florida will be tough to beat, though all of the pressure would be on them and UNLV would have nothing to lose.

If Florida and UNLV played 10 to 15 times, the Rebels would win a couple and maybe this would be one of the times.

Baseball

Right now, Beil says, baseball bettors are so into hoops that the Boys of Summer are being overlooked, though futures wagers rickle in daily.

And everyone's betting the Cubs, Beil said, echoing the lament Vegas bookmakers have had for years.

Chicago's Northsiders have plunged from 50/1 to 4/1 in Terrible's World Series futures book.

Do I think they can win? Biel said.

I don't think so, but this year we've had more bets on the Cubs than usual.

I wouldn't be shocked to see them do something, but I don't think it will happen.

Chicago's Southsiders are another matter.

Beil expects the White Sox, 2005 Fall Classic champions, to be right back in the 2007 picture.

They're a strong team that plays good defense, but nobody else really leaps out at me, Beil said.

The sames teams that battled it out last year should be doing it again this season ... the Yankees and Red Sox in the East, Chicago and Detroit in the Central.

The White Sox didn't make the playoffs last year, but I think they'll be right back in the mix.

The Twins have good young pitching and it depends on how that comes through, especially (Francisco) Loriano.

In the AL West, I'd look at the Angels.

The A's have lost some players.

In the National League, Beil likes the Mets, Cardinals and Dodgers.

As far as betting goes, we always get the most money on teams from New York, Chicago and LA, he said.

Once the season begins, or a month or two into it, you're going to see more money (bet) on the Mets and, of course, Yankees.

I like The Cardinals again in the Central, not the Cubs.

The Dodgers could be a contender and I'm not totally hooked on the Giants.

There's a lot of parity and mediocrity in the NL West.

It's wide open and I think strong pitching will be the deciding factor.

Horse racing

Beil doesn't have a Kentucky Derby favorite yet.

You have to watch for horses that jump into the water late, he said.

The highly-touted 2-year-olds don't necessarily do well as 3-year-olds.

Horses grow up and mature at different times.

Charity Gift Cards Make Great Corporate Holiday Gifts

Charity gift cards are one holiday gift idea that is becoming increasingly popular, particularly as corporate holiday gifts. The corporate world is no exception when it comes to gift giving and showing appreciation, since they know how important it is to cultivate good relations with their existing clients or employees. You must always see to it that your employees are well motivated and always full of enthusiasm, as their performance and morale is what keeps your business thriving. The best way to do this is to show your employees that they are important to you, or by acknowledging them for their good work. The year end or holiday gift that is typically given employees and clients is the best time to show your appreciation. Charity gift cards have become a meaningful option for these year-end gifts among corporations.

Charity gift cards as corporate gifts are beneficial to all parties involved. The recipients are given the opportunity to pass the giving on by choosing where they would like the funds to be donated. The corporations who choose to use charity as their holiday gift to their employees and/or clients are benefited by the tax deduction they are given at the time of purchase, the appreciation of those they give them to, and the satisfaction of helping those in need. The clients or the employees also take receiving charity gift cards as a positive approach on behalf of the company, trying to do a greater good through their associates' participation.

This unique and innovative gift idea allows small businesses or large corporations to customize their gift cards or redemption pages to include their company logos and message. They are given the opportunity to choose the amount of the donations, and then the recipients, upon redemption of the gift cards, can choose their favorite cause to be given the funds. Many organizations who offer these gift cards also make it possible for one to fund different charitable caused through one charity gift card, where the entire amount is split equally among the charities chosen.

Corporations who have chosen to take advantage of these meaningful gifts are not only able to show their appreciation to the recipient for their hard work or loyal business, but their own commitment and social responsibility by helping those in need. It also allows the recipients of the gift cards to get a greater feeling of selflessness, since it may allow them to be more generous in benefiting charity than they would have been able to otherwise. Corporations can also promote their company by taking advantage of the option to bulk order their charity gift cards with their own custom design.

You can purchase charity gift cards in any denomination, making it easy for corporations to plan their budget for holiday gifts in advance, and take advantage of the tax deduction they will receive upon purchase. The IRS allows corporations to take a charitable donation deduction of up to 10 percent of their net income. If a corporation chooses to donate more than this 10 percent, they are allowed to carry over the amount to future years. (http://www.charitablegift.org/charity-giving-programs/corporate-giving.shtml)

The feedback from recipients of these holiday business gifts has been nothing but positive and enthusiastic, as most of us are charitable by nature. Everyone is able to reap the benefits of charity gift cards, but most importantly, we are acknowledging and doing our part in helping out those in need during the holiday season.

Get Gorgeous Now Tips (promo)

Get Gorgeous Now shows you step-by-step the closely-guarded beauty secrets of Hollywood experts that most women will NEVER know. You'll instantly look more sexy and attractive.Click Here!

As you can tell from the comments above, women everywhere are experiencing the FANTASTIC BENEFITS of the Get Gorgeous Now makeover system.

And let's face it: It couldn't have come at a better time.

These days, women are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of good looks and outer beauty. In 2004, there were over 9.2 MILLION procedures for cosmetic plastic surgery... as reported by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).

A recent study by London Guildhall University showed that plain women earned 11 percent less than their prettier counterparts.

Plus, it's all over the television and media. You know what I mean-- you can't turn on the TV these days without being bombarded with shows like Extreme Makeover and Dr. 90210.

Women are overcoming what I like to call the shallow stigma...

The shallow stigma is the belief that any woman who looks BEAUTIFUL is automatically shallow or airheaded.

It's a ridiculous and outdated idea, of course. It comes from how beauty USED to be. Before, looking beautiful took standing in front of the mirror endlessly... spending thousands of dollars... and was usually reserved only for celebrities (who had to look good to make a living) or for those lucky women who somehow were blessed with perfect skin, hair, and bodies at birth.

But NOW, beauty is about PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT. It means you care about your career, your family, and yourself. There's literally no excuse to not improve your appearance... to become a more positive, confident woman. Because now there are proven, step-by-step shortcuts to becoming more attractive...

And that is PRECISELY why the Get Gorgeous Now system is so powerful. You won't have to worry about OTHER women getting ahead of you. YOU will be the one with the advantage.

Because Get Gorgeous Now doesn't have anything to do with plastic surgery or facelifts or liposuction. And your personal makeover WON'T cost tens of thousands of dollars or anything ridiculous like that (as those TV shows would have you believe.)

Instead, your results will be FAST, EASY, and affordable (not to mention there won't be any needles involved!). Your ew-you beauty will be 100% natural.

Unfortunately, there are still countless women who spend thousands of dollars and go through painful surgery... just to look good. Because they don't know about these secrets... and not only that, they don't know these amazing beauty secrets EVEN EXIST.

Your purchase is backed by unconditional 100% money-back guarantee.
